In addition to new moves for every character, there are new one-on-one and tag levels, double the number of costumes over 70 , an English dub, and a CGI Gallery where people who would like to view the DOA2 ladies in various states of disrobement can do just that. Tecmo also claims to have improved graphics and sound over the initial PS2 release, and there are now two more playable characters. Many of these features can be unlocked through various in-game feats.
DOA2: Hardcore marks the fifth different version of the game released Arcade, Japanese Dreamcast, English Dreamcast, Japanese PS2, and Hardcore all have different features and Tecmo has endeavored to make this version the most complete, just as Team Ninja has done its best to see that Dead or Alive 2 is taken seriously as a member of the modern 3D fighting elite. Sit down, shut up, and play. This is real fighting action - sexy and edgy. It's Hardcore for sure!

Much faster and far more visceral than Tekken Tag. Team Ninja has finessed the gameplay so it is much more than the Virtua Fighter wannabe critics once labeled it.
There is plenty of technique to master, especially in tag-battle, with its multi-tiered levels. The downside is that the Al can be incredibly cheap, having no problem pulling off the counters and reversals that human players struggle with due to sluggish timing. The control is also less responsive than the Dreamcast version, but not so much that it really changes the gameplay.
The story line is also so superfluous with plenty of laughable dialogue. Still, a must-have for new PS2 owners. The rushed Japanese PS2 version has been cleaned up a bit, and the action, while similar to Tekken stylewise, is a lot smoother.
The multi-level, interactive backdrops really beef up the gameplay, as do the punchy sound effects and fluid animations. One of DOA's best features is the reversal system, which lets you counter attacks with a well-timed button press and really affect the tide of battle. I really enjoyed DOA2 on the Dreamcast so naturally I really enjoy it here too, but not quite as much.

With the edits from the previous two mods combined with this one, you'll find numerous costume changes, new character dialogue, new stage sequential orders for Story Mode, new Dead Or Alive music, etc.
If using Helena's Mom's skin, the rock is invisible in Tina's hands.
