As a 2D game, Teen Titans for the Game Boy Advance is really solid and looks far better than people give it credit for. Recently I played this on the Game Boy Player and even blown up these sprites look great. Speaking of sprites, I like how large and detailed they are. The soundtrack of the game is very fitting and it gets you all kinds of jacked up as you play.
As you are probably expecting to hear, Teen Titans is a side-scrolling fighting game. You can play as any one of the Titans. You will actually need to play as them all as they each have their own special moves and certain sections of the game require the use of a specific move.
The game is a bit of a button masher and at five levels with multiple stages each the game is not exactly short. Still, for a handheld game, it actually works very, very well. I found this to be the kind of game that is great for pick up and play. Their movies aren't too good so any approach to bring back some more audience is always a risk, especially if the product features Robin.
But, if you dare to play, you'll discover a decent and entertaining game in which you can collect up to 70 figures of your favorite more or less DC characters. These digital figures are similar to Nintendo's Amiibo or Disney Infinity. So, depending on the avatars you place on the platform, you'll choose a team to fight against your opponents. Your goal? To make money to be able to buy more and more figures from the stores around town in order to build a great and invincible team.
